There is still time to participate in the Call for Contributions for the 4th UNI-SET Energy Clustering Event. Hosted by Imperial College London, the event “Universities in the Energy Transition: Focus on Sustainable Transport and Carbon Capture, Storage & Use” will take place on 27 and 28 March 2017.

Submissions are welcome on good practices in developing innovative and multidisciplinary energy-related Master, Doctorate and Research programmes in the fields related to the event theme. Contributions will be selected for presentations and debates illustrating methods, inter-university cooperation, and perspectives in research and education in a series of parallel sessions. The contributions will be used to generate guidelines at the European level regarding the upgrade and update of scientific and education programmes. The deadline to respond is 31 January 2017.

The event programme aims to present university views and activity focusing on sustainable and renewable fuels, electric vehicles and e-mobility, carbon capture and storage, behavioural dimension and multidisciplinary education. A round table will centre on aspects concerning communication and dialogue on energy issues with society. Participatory debates will be fostered on ways to enhance the contribution of universities towards a low-carbon society and towards minimising the impact of the exploitation of the planet’s natural resources. The event is also an opportunity to engage in the implementation of the EU SET-Plan, the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge Energy and the Energy Union.

Registration to the event is free of charge and open until 13 March 2017. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
